KC Tile Restoration has been offering Mexican Tile Cleaning services to residents and businesses of Palm Beach, Broward, and Martin Counties for more than 20 years.

Preparation

We move furniture, area rugs and tables; the only requirement from you is to remove any breakables. We use clean drop cloths and the utmost care is taken to protect any furniture that is not being moved. Remember, we treat your house like it is our own.

Mexican Tile Floors need Special Care

Mexican Tile is a maintenance floor. If not properly sealed and maintained, and too much time lapses in between applications, the floor can actually wear through the finish into the clay driving up the cost of the job and possibly ruining the floor.

Our Method

If the floor has been properly maintained, we can do a semi-strip which removes dirt and debris then re-seal with a minimum of five coats of either a low sheen or high sheen. Your floors will stay beautiful and be easier to maintain.

If regular maintenance has not been done it typically leads to a full strip, which is a more in-depth process (full strip is dust-free).

Grout can also be color-sealed to ensure a proper uniform look throughout the floor. Most Mexican Tile installation requires maintenance to be done every year to two years, possibly sooner depending on the foot traffic in the house.

By maintaining the floors correctly it will also stop scuffing and heavy traffic areas from wearing through to the finish. We also recommend that any piece of furniture that moves on the floor has felt pads applied to the legs of the furniture.

To ensure the beauty of the floor we can also leave our customers a top coat finish which can easily be applied by the homeowner every couple of months.
